Insights on Cataract Complication Management
Bombay Ophthalmologists’ Association (BOA), in association with the Women Ophthalmologists Society (WOS), organised a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme titled “Comprehensive Ophthalmology through a WOS Lens” on 25th January 2026 at Ginger Hotel, near the Domestic Airport, Mumbai.
The programme included an Eye Crash session on “Managing Complications in Cataract Surgeries”, which saw enthusiastic participation from ophthalmologists from different parts of the region. The CME focused on practical learning through expert panel discussions, real-life case presentations, and interactive sessions. The event was accredited with 2 MMC credit points.
Doctors from Nandadeep Eye Hospital were invited as key speakers for this academic programme.
Dr. Sourabh Patwardhan and Dr. Nidhi Patwardhan shared their clinical experience by presenting challenging cataract cases and discussing effective ways to manage surgical complications. Their sessions were well received and provided valuable insights to fellow ophthalmologists.
