Nandadeep Eye Hospital Hosts First Advanced LASIK Eye Camp

Pandharpur, March 22, 2026

In a significant milestone for eye care services in Pandharpur, Nandadeep Eye Hospital successfully organized the town’s first-ever LASIK and comprehensive eye screening camp on March 22, 2026, at Rakhumai (Rakhunmai) Auditorium, located next to the Police Station. The camp stood out as a unique initiative that combined advanced medical technology with a charitable approach, bringing high-quality eye care closer to the local community.

The camp witnessed an impressive footfall of 327 visitors, reflecting the growing awareness and need for specialized eye care services in the region. Patients from Pandharpur and nearby areas attended the camp and expressed satisfaction with the seamless and well-organized services provided.

What made this camp particularly noteworthy was its private hospital-level setup within a charitable framework.

Equipped with advanced diagnostic instruments, the camp ensured that patients received the same level of precision and care typically available in a tertiary eye hospital. A dedicated team of over 30 expert medicos, including optometrists, ophthalmic consultants, counsellors, and support staff, worked together to provide comprehensive care under one roof.

The camp offered detailed and systematic eye examinations for every patient. From basic visual acuity testing and refraction to advanced assessments such as slit lamp examination, intraocular pressure measurement, fundus photography, pachymetry, and A-scan biometry, every step was carried out meticulously. Special emphasis was placed on LASIK screening, with eligible patients receiving a complete LASIK workup free of cost.

While LASIK remained the central focus, the scope of the camp extended far beyond refractive surgery. Patients were also screened for various other eye conditions, including cataract, glaucoma, squint, oculoplasty-related issues, and general eye disorders.

On-the-spot consultations ensured that patients received immediate diagnosis and clear guidance regarding further treatment or surgical options.

The response from patients and their attendants was overwhelmingly positive. Many appreciated the availability of advanced diagnostic facilities in their own city. The professionalism of the medical team, minimal waiting time, and transparent counselling were highlighted as key strengths of the camp.

Encouraged by the success and the strong community response, Nandadeep Eye Hospital has expressed its commitment to organizing more such camps in the future.

With innovation, expertise, and a patient-first approach, this camp has set a new vision for community eye care in Pandharpur—bringing advanced eye treatment closer to people and helping everyone see clearly for a better future.
