Privacy Policy — Angle Alpha (“Angle Alpha Patwardhan”)

Angle Alpha (Android package com.scriptlanes.angle_alpha) is a clinical tool for eye-care professionals to photograph a patient’s eye and read toric IOL / cataract-surgery measurements. The app is conceived and owned by Dr. Sourabh D. Patwardhan and developed by ScriptLanes. This policy explains how the app handles data.

Summary: Everything you capture or enter stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your data or your patients’ data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no third-party tracking.

1. Information the app handles (stored only on your device)

Patient details you type (first name, last name, notes), eye images you capture with the camera or import from your gallery, the measurement screenshots you save, and small app preferences (e.g., whether the disclaimer was shown). All of this is stored solely in the app’s private storage on your device and is never sent to us or any server.

2. Permissions

You can manage permissions in your device settings; related features won’t work if they’re denied.

3. How data is used

Only on-device, to provide the measurement features and to let you save and review records you create. No other use.

4. Sharing

None. The app has no backend and uses no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. We do not have access to your data.

5. External links

At your request the app may open third-party sites (Dr. Patwardhan’s YouTube channel, Nandadeep Eye Hospital’s training page, scriptlanes.com). Those sites have their own privacy policies; we are not responsible for them.

6. Retention & deletion

Because data lives only on your device, you control it: delete records in the app, or uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data. We keep no copies.

7. Security

Data stays in the app’s private, OS-sandboxed storage, protected by your device’s security. As a clinician, please handle patient information in line with the privacy/healthcare regulations that apply to you.

8. Children

This is a professional medical tool for eye-care professionals; it is not directed to children.

9. Medical disclaimer

Angle Alpha assists clinical judgement and is not a substitute for professional diagnosis.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; the effective date above will change.
