Short-Term Surgical Retina Training Program
Short-Term Surgical Retina Training Program
The Short-Term Surgical Retina Training Program at Nandadeep Eye Hospital, Sangli is an intensive, hands-on course designed for ophthalmologists seeking to develop and refine their vitreoretinal surgical skills under expert mentorship.
Conducted in a high-volume tertiary eye care center, the program provides extensive exposure to vitreoretinal surgery with a strong emphasis on supervised hands-on surgical training. Participants progressively develop confidence in surgical techniques, intraoperative decision-making, and the management of both routine and complex vitreoretinal cases.
Training is individualized according to each participant’s prior surgical experience and learning objectives, ensuring maximum surgical exposure and personalized guidance throughout the program. In addition to hands-on surgery, trainees gain practical experience in retinal evaluation, surgical planning, advanced retinal imaging, retinal lasers, intravitreal injections, and perioperative management of vitreoretinal diseases.
With one-to-one mentorship, structured surgical progression, and exposure to modern vitreoretinal technology, the program aims to equip ophthalmologists with the skills and confidence required to independently perform vitreoretinal surgery safely and effectively.
